How to use the stopwatch

Press Start to begin timing and Stop to pause; pressing Start again resumes from where you left off. While running, hitLap to record a split without stopping the clock — each lap shows both its own time and the running total, and the fastest and slowest laps are highlighted. When the clock is stopped, the left button becomes Reset.

Keyboard shortcuts: Space starts and stops, L takes a lap, R resets. Turn on Beep on lap for an audible cue, and use Save laps to file to download all your splits as a plain text file. Your laps are kept in this browser, so an accidental refresh won't lose them.

Frequently Asked Questions
Is this stopwatch accurate?
Yes. Timing is based on the elapsed clock rather than counting ticks, so it stays accurate even if the tab is throttled in the background.
What is the difference between lap and total time?
The total is the full time since you started; the lap is the time since your previous lap. Consecutive laps let you measure each segment separately.
Can I save my lap times?
Yes — press Save laps to file to download them as a text file you can keep or share.
Does it keep running if I close the tab?
Your laps and elapsed time are stored in this browser and restored when you come back, but a closed tab does not keep counting.
