Countdown

Countdown to the exact second

Set the moment a sale, drop or registration opens. The countdown runs on server-synchronised time, so it is right even when your device clock is not.

Why your own clock is not enough

A device clock drifts. Phones and laptops correct themselves against a time server every so often, but between those corrections they run fast or slow — usually by fractions of a second, sometimes by several seconds. For most of life that is invisible. When a sale opens at 10:00:00 and sells out in four seconds, it decides whether you get in.

Refreshing the page just before the start does not help: it reloads the page, not your clock. What matters is the gap between your device and real time, which is what this page measures — and then tells you what your own clock should read at the moment you click.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I use this before a ticket sale?
Enter the opening time and the time zone it was announced in. The page shows the countdown on corrected time, and the exact reading your own clock will show at that moment — click then, not when your clock reaches the announced time.
Why does it say my clock is off by a second?
Because it is. The page compares your device against our time server using the same round-trip method NTP uses. Most devices are off by well under a second; some, especially after sleep or a weak network, are off by several.
Is this more accurate than my phone's clock?
It is measured against a server clock rather than assumed. The margin shown next to the reading is how precise that measurement is — typically a few milliseconds on a decent connection.
Can I share a countdown with other people?
Yes — copy the link. It carries the moment and the time zone, so everyone opening it counts down to the same instant, each corrected for their own device.
